Lexmark closes acquisition of Perceptive Software
LEXINGTON, Ky. — Printer and copier maker Lexmark International Inc. said Monday it has closed its $280 million cash acquisition of business software company Perceptive Software.
Perceptive’s content management software is used in higher education, health care and by government agencies. Lexmark said earlier the deal will provide additional revenue streams in software maintenance and professional services that are not paper-dependent like its traditional business. Lexmark’s purchase of Perceptive was announced last month.
Shares of Lexmark fell $1.01, or 2.8 percent, to $35.69 in afternoon trading.
