SoCal man held in estranged wife’s machete death
FONTANA, Calif. — A man is under arrest for allegedly hacking his estranged wife to death with a machete outside the Fontana beauty shop where she worked.
Police Sgt. Jeff Decker says 39-year-old Horacio Gonzalez was arrested for investigation of murder Wednesday but he remained hospitalized on Thursday after apparently drinking bleach. Decker says he’s expected to survive.
Police believe Gonzalez went to Mimi’s Hair Design at about 4:40 p.m. Wednesday, chased his wife out the back door and killed her.
Court records indicate she had a restraining order against Gonzalez because of domestic violence and filed for divorce in March.
A child custody hearing had been scheduled for next week.
Fontana is about 50 miles east of Los Angeles.

This is really saddening. I feel sorry for their kid, who has to go through everything. Good thing the police were able to arrest Horacio Gonzales so that steps may be taken to ensure that justice is served. |
