Nissan Launhes Micra In India

CHENNAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Nissan Motors announced today the launch of its new car Nissan Micra in India. Toshiyuki Shiga, the Chief Operating Officer of the Nissan Motor Company was present at Oragadam, the manufacturing plant of the company in the country and said that the new launch was Nissan’s effort to cater to the needs of the Indian driver and to be a part of the rapidly progressing automobile industry of India.

The Nissan Micra which will be crafted in India will also be available in the car markets of Europe, the Middle East countries and many countries of Africa. The brand new production from Nissan Motors goes into display in every Nissan showroom across the country from tomorrow. The compact car or the hatchback as it is properly known as, will not be available for purchase yet, but interested customers can book their Micra at every Nissan showroom in India.

Toshiyuki Shiga said in his statement yesterday that the car will go up for sale in Nissan Motors counters in the country from the month of July this year. However people in India can take their pick of their favorite Nissan Micra car if they can submit the booking amount of Rs.50,000. It has been reported that more than 85 per cent of the spare parts used for manufacturing the Nissan Micra in India have been obtained from close to 96 Indian vendors and most of them are from the city Chennai. The company which provides 6000 jobs in the city, has plans to expand its business in Chennai and double the number of workers in the next couple of years.
