According to the absolutely latest news, Adobe is going to introduce a new version of its Flash software that runs not only on computers but also on the latest high-end mobile phones. That means Adobe plans to bring a full PC version of its Flash video player to smartphones next year.
It is going to be an absolutely delightful news for all the developers to be able to work on something as big as this and also for people as there won’t be any problem like relying on third party software to run different flash video formats.
The company will be previewing its Flash Player 10 for smartphones at this week’s Mobile World Congress.
Smartphones with Flash Player 10 running on Google’s Android, Microsoft’s Windows Mobile and Nokia’s Symbian S60 platforms should be on the market next year, said David Wadhwani, Adobe’s platform business chief. Though the surprising candidate missing is obvious, the iPhone. When asked about the progress of Adobe- Apple project that was announced much earlier, he said, “Unfortunately, I don’t have any new information to provide, we don’t have anything to announce at the show on that topic.” (according to Reuters)
After the humongous success of Adobe’s Flash Lite, the world awaits a mobile version of Adobe which will be a universal one again. Anything fishy with Apple? We keep that for another day.
