Compuware teams with Nelco unit on software
DETROIT — Business software and services provider Compuware Corp. said Tuesday it will partner with a subsidiary of India’s Nelco Ltd. to help manage the software applications of that company’s customers.
Compuware did not disclose financial details of the agreement with Nelco’s Tatanet Services unit. Tatanet will offer the services, which use Compuware’s Vantage and Gomez products, under the name “Nirikshan.” Compuware says Vantage and Gomez products help businesses with rapid troubleshooting and identifying the root cause of malfunctions, whether the source of the problem is on the Internet or in the data center.
“Today, application performance plays a critical role in helping to ensure customers have a seamless and positive experience,” said Kaushik Mandal, Tatanet chief operating officer. “A single interruption or down time in service can have a direct impact on our business. Our partnership with Compuware will enable us to provide quality service to our customers.”
Compuware shares slipped 9 cents to $8.17 in afternoon trading.
