San Francisco- Cyber Monday 2009, sponsored by the National Retail Federation’s shop.org is to hit the online stores in Monday, Nov. 30. The goods on sale are meant for every kind of buyers and include clothes, jewelery, gadgets, shoes, books etc.
Around 30% is being put-off on the items like branded footwear and jewelery and brands include the World’s top-most ones(around 100 of them). When it comes to clothes, the off percentage hovers somewhere around 30-40 percent and the items include pants, shorts, shirts, tees, and everything else you can think of. Some of the brands that you can shop from are saks, JCPenney, Bloomingdales, Blue Nile, Nike, Dell, Lenovo, Sony, avon, adidas, armani exchange, adobe, barnes & nobles etc.
The Cyber Monday-2009 is specifically aimed at all those shoppers who missed out on the discounted prices of the Black Friday, and would return to their offices on Monday to make the purchases online. Sources report that the Cyber Monday, which falls after the Black Friday as a rule is seen as the busiest shopping day of the year, however, it has also been noticed that the deals can also be found in several other places.
The Cyber Monday-2009 will see around 500-600 retailers trying to sell their goods online at a discounted rate. Also, a part of the sales money will be used for the Ray M. Greenly Scholarship Fund, keeping in the spirit of the Christmas season. The scholarship is used to sponsor the education of e-commerce students. It was reported that in the year 2007, the Cyber Monday made a sales of $730 million and in 2006- $610 million and now the 2009 sales figures are eagerly awaited.
