God - a profanity?

I was looking at the profanity filter from Travis for comments.

Interestingly “god” is in the badwords array along f*k, s*t and its ilk!
And the way to make “god” good is by changing Him to “g*d”!!

What am I missing here :)

Hey, that was my code you are referring to. I might as well give you the answer to you G-d question.

Well when someone is Jewish as I am. It is thought to be bad to use the name of “God” or even mention it. It is thought that leaving out the “o” to make a new word “G-d” is safer.

So yes, God is a bad word in my eyes.
