CHINA (GaeaTimes.com)- Anything that Google does become news. Therefore the Google China Censorship issue is doing the rounds on the web. A lot of curiosity was kindled when it was revealed that Google will stop censoring in China after hacking attempts on human rights activist. The revelation has been made in the official Google blog. It is indeed a strong move by the Internet search giant that has also said that it will pull out of China if the situation demands. Now it is up to the Chinese government to take a stand.
The Google China Censorship issue is being viewed quite seriously by the search giant. Ever since the news of Google stopping censoring in China after hacking attempts on human rights activist spread, it has made web users curious. However, Google has not yet accused the Chinese Government for the hacking attack. Earlier, Google expressed its discontent with China’s attempt to curb freedom of the web users.
The chief legal officer of Google said that if required the company will cease the operations of Google.cn. The incident has added more importance to the Google China Censorship issue. Google may have to stop censoring in China after hacking attempts on human rights activist as it thinks the attack is more than an ordinary security breach. The threat was serious but the hackers succeeded in breaching the security of only two accounts. The internet search giant has faced such threats before but this time it has reacted more seriously than ever before.
