USA’s flagging economy is all set to experience a revival after the global meltdown as president elect Barack Obama announced a comprehensive package to stimulate the economy. A larger part of the investment would be used to create green jobs and is anticipated to generate nearly 2 million jobs.

This comes as a welcome news for all those budding IT aspirants - waiting to acquire green and more sustainable technological skills. Moreover, the news comes as a relief for the ruck of unemployed construction workers who can expect to get back to job soon. A study by University of Massachusetts suggests that investing $ 100 million on green recovery could generate 2 millions jobs within 2 years.

The move would surely have an impact on the current IT services companies, which have been exhibiting green credentials on there websites. It is clear that creating 2 million new jobs would require a massive investment towards PC software, hardware, and other related software services. Further, this would fillip the growth of so-called data center and escalate the adoption of green practices.

Fingers crossed!
