I want to be Cloned
By Angsuman Chakraborty, Gaea News NetworkSaturday, July 2, 2005
Yes, you heard me right. I want to be cloned. And not just one clone, several in fact.
I have been thinking about the ethics of cloning. The identity of clones, parentage issues and all. And I have decided. I want to be cloned.
I want a clone to look after my business. As he is a clone and if science is right he will share my traits, hopefully my capability and integrity, someone I can trust.
I want another of my clone to look after my (our) family and take proper care of people who are dependent on him.
I want another to implement my innovative ideas and build products and lead my dreams to fruition.
I want another of my clone to devote his life to Stem Cell Research and help in finding cures for diseases.
I want another of my clone to devote his life to discovering cure for diabetes, hopefully able to work with my clone who is researching on Stem Cell. Between both of them I am hopeful of having a cure for diabetes soon.
I know, knowing myself, they will live in harmony with each other as a single happy family. I will see to that.
And then finally I can spend the remainder of my life doing - nothing, staying in a secluded spot in Himalayas away from everyone , spending the remainder of my days in search of truth, till I find it or till death, whichever comes earlier.
