New Zealand People Prefer Online Porn to Pirated Movies: Poll

As per the recent survey by Neaw Zealand based research firm UMR Research among 1000 New Zealanders, viewers feel okay to watch online porn rather than downloading pirated movies and songs. Nearly half of all respondents (41%) felt it was morally acceptable for a single person to view pornography online, although that proportion was much higher among male respondents (56%) than females (26%). Even 18 % people think that hiding the habits of watching online porn from their wives is more acceptable than downloading movies or songs illegally.
Downloading a movie or song illegally is an offence in New Zealand, but, watching porn isn’t. However there are some inconsistencies in the result. Firstly, many adult sites show movies violating copyright protection. So , in fact, it is unethical for those people who watch porn online. Also, there is a trend from the survey. It reveals that people feel more comfotable to stream movies on “youtube” etc violating copyright, rather than downloading pirated movies or songs. So, streaming copyrighted content is morally acceptable for some weird reason, as per the survey.
