Tata Indicom 1 Mbps Unlimited Broadband Price Reduced

Tata Indicom announced revised pricing for Infinity 1 Mbps broadband plan, applicable to new and existing customers (like us).

Infinity 1 Mbps broadband plan is now priced at Rs 2500 (+tax) per month instead of Rs 3600 (+ tax).

The low-end Infinity 384 Kbps plan is now priced at Rs. 1000 only.

So far I had good experiences with Tata Indicom broadband and wouldn’t mind recommending it.

I am a TATA HOUSE fan…specially after the TAJ attack. TATA’s took great care of people who suffered directly or indirectly.
BUT VSNL does not seem to be a part of TATA yet!! Their service is pathetic.
I suffered first hand. I was getting slow browsing speed (max 80kbps)since Oct 2008 on my one year unlimited prepaid connection (256kbps plan). The problem was finally resolved on 3rd Feb 2009 It was a backend problem that their field engineer could not resolve despite several complaints!!
I demanded extension on validity on this plan. I got a call from customer service saying that I had used the net during Oct-Feb period hence no compensation would be offered. Is it very difficult to understand that a consumer would use the net despite slow speed? But are they not supposed to provide connection for which I was charged?
