[...] Prima di tutto esistono degli hack, ossia delle bacheche già modificate e testate che possiamo tranquillamente sostituire a quella di default attraverso un programma FTP. Ne ho provate alcuni, e gli hack che mi hanno dato maggiori soddisfazioni sono quelli creati da Angusman Chakraborty e da Dan Hersam. Entrambi eliminano del tutto la sezione dei feed riorganizzando in modo più intelligente le altre informazioni disponibili (potete vedere gli screenshot sui blog degli sviluppatori), anche se io ho preferisco quella creata da Dan poichè offre un dato in più rispetto alle altre, ossia la lista dei post più commentati. FYI - I commented out line 13: require_once (ABSPATH . WPINC . '/rss-functions.php'); and the admin is now LIGHTENING fast. |

@Avid Disable all your plugins. That should solve the problem. Then re-enable them one at a time till you identify the plugin responsible. |

Well just one issue. Write and Comments catogries ib the dashboard (Under Activity on the right side menu) shows up for users who do not have access to write and comments. So can you fix this or tell me how I can please? Thanks a lot, Will |

Wow! It's great! Now if I just had a way link a notepad under the drafts area of Dashboard. Then I could jot my topic ideas that have not yet become drafts. Or maybe that would be best linked to the "write post" page. Anyway, I love your Dashboard hack. |

I renamed the original 'index.php' as 'oldindex.php' Then, at the hacked Dashboard version 2 after: There are currently posts and comments, contained within categories. I added the following line: Old Dashboard This way I can switch back and forth the original Dashboard and the information it carries. |

I really liked your cleaned up interface, but I missed having easy access to the feed items, so I've hacked your hack. I added a "news" section with show/hide links that dynamically toggles the display of the community news feed (in standard link format instead of the big grey boxes) and the wordpress blog. I've also cleaned up the "Activity" section to make the presentation a bit more consistent. All sections are now in unordered lists instead of using / dividers for "write" and "comments". The "latest posts" and "latest comments" sections now both use named links that take you to the article and an edit link that takes you to the "edit" screen. Previously, "lastest posts" used a view link to get to the article and the named link, went to the edit screen. Right now, those feed items are still loaded, but not displayed, so it take 2 or 3 extra seconds the first time you load the page. When i get a bit more time, I may add a small form and toggle the community feeds and devblog at the server side instead of the client, so that if they're not required, they won't need to be loaded at all. Anyway, I know that this probably won't appeal to you, but it might appeal to readers like me that are more concerned with the interface than with the time it takes to load the page.
