LONDON - Always dreamt of turning into a matador with those flashing red neckerchiefs, but too fearful of being followed by bulls running on the streets? Well, now a new virtual reality game can make you experience the thrill of bullfighting without the risk of being gored.

The software developed by Navarra firm Proevent enables people to experience the adventure of running with the bulls through the cobbled streets of Pamplona.

People playing the game get the chance of being part of the famous sport, and run the one-mile course without risking their lives.

After wearing a headset hooked up to a special treadmill, the player can “join” computer generated runners flanked by dozens of spectators on a virtual version of the famous Bull Run.

The event gives a more realistic look with the digital three-dimensional images from the streets teamed with surround sound, reports the Telegraph.

The prototype technology has been set up in a square in Pamplona, and is proving popular with those practicing for the run as well as those who consider themselves too old, too unfit or too sensible to attempt the real thing. (ANI)
