THE PARTNERSHIP: Microsoft Corp. is teaming up with computer makers Dell Inc., Hewlett-Packard Co. and Japan’s Fujitsu.
THE OFFERING: Those PC makers have set up networks of servers running Azure, Microsoft’s “cloud computing” system for outsourcing data center management.
THE BOTTOM LINE: PC makers, which also do technology consulting, can add cloud computing to their menu of services.
