When every one is progressing towards a better and a secure cyber atmosphere, Windows astoundingly continues their trend and lags behind. If we remember last January’s assessments, at least 5% of the PCs were safe from any vulnerabilities. I used to count me as one while using Windows XP. But the recent stats show me no hope now. According to Secunia APS, 98.1% of the PCs on which its Personal Software Inspector (PSI) utility was installed during the past week sport one or more applications that have security updates available for downloading.
More than 98% of Windows computers harbor at least one unpatched application, and nearly half contain 11 or more programs at risk from attack, the Copenhagen-based security company said today.
We’ve had a change in the user base and managed to reach a much broader group of users. it’s reached a completely different group of users, many who never patch their PC
said Kristensen.
This quote seems absolutely frightening as it comes from a person whose software was downloaded by 900,000 users in 1 year. Windows users, please take a note before its too late.
