A sick mindset perhaps but definitely not stupid. He already got donations in excess of 19, 000 USD (assuming he is telling the truth)! Now that’s the height of mass stupidity.

Thousands are dying everyday of AIDS, Diabetes, Tsunami and so many other natural and man-made calamities and people donate over 19, 000 to save a bunny from his owner! If people keep fostering these idiotic schemes, soon there will be scores more.

I found that both their email accounts for collecting paypal donations support@savetoby.com and helptoby@hotmail.com have been disabled by PayPal. However they are still selling merchandise at cafepress and godaddy (the hosting company) maintains that the site is legal according to their terms and their employees have actually bought merchandise from their site.

What is interesting to me is how easily he manipulates so many people. No wonder spam works. Yes in a recent report one in three people actually click links on spam email and one in ten people actually buy stuff from spammers!
