Recommended Firefox Extension - Flash Block

The most annoying thing about web these days is the prevalence of Macromedia Flash based eye candies and advertisement. Not only they are an irritating visual distraction (in most cases), they also consume way too much CPU. I often leave my computer open for days and then things start really slowing down until I restart my browser. Now there is a neat dedicated solution to this pain - Flash Block.
Flash Block is a simple focussed extension for Mozilla, Firefox and Netscape browsers to remove Macromedia Flash, Macromedia Shockwave and Macromedia Authorware content types from displaying. It instead displays a simple button which allows you to selectively display these contents, if so desired.
You can download the utility here.
