Revenue Offer WordPress Matt’s Style

I received an interesting offer to earn revenue which smells very much like the offer which maligned Matt Mullenweg, WordPress author in the past.

Here is the full unedited text except email address and name of the authoress of the offer:

I have an offer for your business if you’re interested in increasing revenues each month.

I’ll cut right to the chase. We’re looking for 1 of 2 things. Or both:

1. Allow us to place targeted advertising on your existing website. We would share any advertising revenues with you at an agreed upon percentage. We’re masters of online advertising, so we can probably unlock new cash flow for you that might have otherwise never been tapped.

2. Allow us to set up around 10 subdomains or subfolders off of your website…for example: https://www.subdomain.YOURURL.com OR https://www.YOURURL.com/subfolder These would contain sites we control and be on a variety of topics. You would have to switch the DNS info for these new subdomains over to one of our servers so that we can make changes to these sites. For this we would pay you a monthly fee that we both feel is fair.
Anyways, if you could get back to me as soon as possible it would be appreciated. We would like to make this a win/win situation! I Hope to hear from you soon!

Not at all. It is public knowledge. View my pages after installing Google Toolbar and it will be visible to you or anyone else.

> I would love to hear what, exactly, they’re proposing.

It is in the post, in italics.

You can try my wordpress spam prevention solution. It works for me perfectly.

Shame, I would love to hear what, exactly, they’re proposing. heh.

What is your PR, by tbe by, if you don’t mind my asking. I’ve recently obtained a pr4, and with that a brand new influx of daily e-mail spam. I doubt the two are connected, but the day google’s new pr’s went live, my spam intake jumped noticeably, and has climbed to a (now steady) high point, since.

@Fyre

I don’t think they would as they are looking to capitalize on Google Pagerank. They can as well buy a domain if a domain is all they cared.

In this case when I asked them about the content they are going to put on my site they didn’t respond back :)

If you have a spare domain, or feel like getting a spare domain, see if they’ll go for using that. Chances are, no, but if they do, and you’re not planning on using the domain for anything (i.e. development throwaway), then you might be able to make some extra cash without hurting your existing sites in the process.

*shrug*
Just an idea.

Delete that offer ASAP! It will bring you nothing but trouble.
