One of the factors that makes Twitter so popular is its asynchronous nature. I’m sure this happens to most of you on Twitter, a lot of people you follow don’t follow you on Twitter don’t follow you back. Gee! wouldn’t it be great to have no friends request. I don’t say every big shot you visit would get back to you with a tweet thanking you. You can always wait, if you have Toby Young promised to get back to you. Else get on with my hack to cotch the one who’s not following you on Twitter. Here’s a trick that’ll get you to the person in less than 15 lines of Ruby.
This is what you gotta do
Get the gem first if you don’t already have it
sudo gem install twitter
The script
This is a simple code, yet great code that provides a friends list, whom you follow, but they are not present in your followers list.
Now just replace the username and password with your own information to get started. Run the script from your command line and see the results. You’ll get the numbers of people who don’t follow you and their details.
