Shaw Communications to build new wireless service
SAN FRANCISCO — Shaw Communications, which provides cable, high-speed Internet and phone services in Canada, said Monday that it plans to roll out a next-generation wireless service.
The company said recently that it intends to spend $100 million this year and expects to launch its new service late next year.
Shaw said it will be hiring engineering and information technology employees in relation to the planned service rollout.
Shaw shares rose 5 cents to $19.43 in afternoon trading.
