White iPhone 3GS Changing Colors

Do you have Apple’s latest iPhone in white? Don’t be surprised if it changes color within a few days of using. According to the reports from multiple tipsters in French site Nowhere Else and AppleInsider, there have been several first-hand accounts complaining that the back of White iPhone 3G S models are turning brown or pink in certain areas, particularly towards the edges. There are various speculations guiding the cause of such an anomaly, let’s dig into the truth.
The iPhone problem is being related to some intensive activities that generate significant heat such as using 3G data extensively, playing games or navigating with GPS. Further, it is also suspected that involvement in regular tasks for long period such as playing music or browsing the web on Wi-Fi might be triggering the symptoms.
The second line of thought suspects iPhone 3GS battery. As the color shifts occur around the circumference of the battery pack, it likely that flawed battery cells that are directly contributing to add up the stress.
Interestingly, the iPhone 3G models are not affected by the discoloring issue. There are no reports about black iPhone 3GS models suffer from any such problem. For more, there are certain reports that some of the latest iPhones are getting particularly hot under specific conditions such as using the handset while it is being charged.
Apple is yet to make any comments on the issue and has decided to drop extensive discussion on its forum about the annoying incidents. Well some of the victims have succeeded in obtaining a replacement.

I just want to let everyone know that the skins for the iphone do not wrap at the top (as they do on your Pearl). Also the skins are only shown on silver phones, and do not look as nice on the red phones, even if you take the care to choose one that will match. |
