LONDON - Ministers at the Whitehall, the administrative centre of the UK government, have been provided with a document spanning 20 pages on how to use popular microblogging website Twitter.
Department for Business, Innovation and Skills created hitehall’s first ever Twitter strategy as a tutorial to overnment departments to post tweets more regularly, reports The Independent.
The new guide is the production of Neil Williams, BIS’s head of corporate digital channels, and is apparently designed to encourage better communication with the public.
It allegedly recommends that tweets should be “human and credible” and teams should consider releasing “exclusive content”, including insights from ministers and answering questions from voters. (ANI)
