Xerox unit ACS to buy HP employee benefits firm

DALLAS — Affiliated Computer Services, a unit of printer and copier maker Xerox Corp., said Tuesday that it’s buying employee benefits company ExcellerateHRO LLP from Hewlett-Packard Co.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

ExcellerateHRO, which provides employee benefits information globally and offers relocation services, boosts the position of ACS as an administrator of worker benefits.

The acquisition is the first for ACS since Xerox bought the company in February.

ACS serves more than 5.5 million current and retired employees in more than 80 countries. It also handles the administration of $75 billion in retirement assets.
