3 Power Tips For Angsuman’s Translator Plugin Pro Users

Few tips for Translator Plugin Pro users:
1. Use a caching engine. Object caching is the minimum that you can use. I would recommend that you use wp-cache 2. eAccelerator is also fine. The problem with eAccelerator is that it isn’t sensitive to WordPress. In other words it cannot know accurately when the content has changed.
However you wouldn’t gain much benefits from using multiple caching engines. Choose one and stick with it. Optimize as necessary. Increase caching time to 12 hours or more to reduce the load on translation engines.
2. Choose as many translation engines as you want from Translator options (under Manage menu). By default only eight languages are enabled. You can choose as many as thirteen languages.
3. Use nice permalinks on your blog. You can enable them from Options/Permalink menu. Translator Pro recognizes nice permalinks and generates nice permalinks for translated pages too, making your translated pages indistinguisable from normal pages in your blog. Nice permalinks are recommended for better search engine visibility and ranking.
That’s all for this week.
