United Technologies Corp. reported its second-quarter results on Wednesday. Here’s a look at operating profit by segment of the Hartford, Conn., company, compared with the second quarter of 2009.
OTIS ELEVATOR: $641 million, up 1.6 percent.
PRATT & WHITNEY: $522 million, up 12 percent.
CARRIER: $333 million, up 28 percent.
HAMILTON SUNDSTRAND: $204 million, up 9 percent.
SIKORSKY AIRCRAFT: $169 million, up 27 percent.
FIRE AND SECURITY: $168 million, up 206 percent.
