The Revelation of Apple’s long-awaited iPad tablet has created a phenomenon excitement among the gadget buffs and geeks. They were thronging at the Apple store for the whole night to have the first glimpse of the brain child of Steve Jobs. Though the craziness this time Apple witnessed, does not surpass the one it had faced for iPhone, the response was not so bad. Atleast selling of 300,000 iPads on the first day gives enough evidence for people’s faith and admiration for Apple’s product.
But with each day passing by since April 3rd (iPad was launched), Apple forum is getting piles of complains issuing against their iPad. Most of the complains are subjected to technical difficulties. A general problem many users have faced so far is poor signal or no wi-fi signal of iPad. Michael Arrington at TechCrunch reported that
I’m getting one or two bars on my iPad in rooms where my iPhone, iPod touch, both Macbook Pros, Apple TV and Playstation all get full service
, he said.
Meanwhile, many people opined that iPad without internet is a dead device. However, the internet can only be connected via wifi. The wi-fi antenna, located behind the logo on the back of the iPad, is blamed for internet problems in iPad.
In the Apple forum, one user has shared his downloading experience with iPad. He says that downloading is painfully slow and signal is weak. The signal drop every 5-10 minutes making the user offline. Another new owner of iPad had raised a serious issue –
I have rebooted the ipad 3 times, doesnt help. My Macbook is running on the same wifi network just fine. Not spending $500 on something I cant even use. Its going back tomorrow.
Apple has not spoken about the complains yet. Lets see what approaches Apple takes to remove all these bugs from its new born baby.
