Get ready to follow ‘Romeo and Juliet’ on Twitter!

LONDON - Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet will soon make their way on Twitter, with the classic love story to be “tweeted” in a joint project between Channel 4 and the Royal Shakespeare Company.he broadcaster also said it would double its commissioning budget for arts programmes on Channel 4 to 6 million pounds a year, and set up a new arts board.

As part of Channel 4’s new arts line-up, Such Tweet Sorrow will tell the story of one of William Shakespeare’s best-loved plays via the social networking website Twitter, reports The Telegraph.roduction company Mudlark is also involved in the project, which goes live on April 12.

People behind the initiative are not revealing further details about the project, including exactly how the play will be tweeted, until nearer the time of launch. (ANI)
