Java Meets YouTube (Video on the web)

It was fun to watch Java software companies posting videos of their product demonstration on the web. Watching them however made me realize couple of important issues.

First of all software demonstration videos on YouTube suck (for lack of stronger word). You are much better off using Wink.

It is very sad to watch how demonstrators are engrossed with demonstrating the look-and-feel of the product instead of core functionality. Take a look at the video below. It demonstrates a CRM software. However all the demonstrator manages in showing is that he can zoom in on any table details in the database (it’s lamer than you think)!

The Spitfire architecture video is slightly more useful but still pathetic enough to deserve a mention.
