Myer-Briggs profiling…

Yesterday myself, my brother & father did a Myer-briggs profiling. The descriptions were uncannily accurate in all three cases. In fact it lead me to new knowledge about my bro’s & father’s behavior, something surprising!

I am INTP. So you should know now how to deal with me and what to expect of me, right?

It was flattering for a moment to realize I have such great scientists as Albert Einstein and Issac
Newton and great philosophers like Rene Descartes & Socrates in my group, till I realized the group includes 5 billion / 16 people :(

I think you too should identify your profile. It will, if not anything else, help you better understand yourself and others around you (provided you can either deduce their type of nag them till they take the test themselves).

You can take the test here.

Let me know how it goes…

Hey awesome blog! There is actually this forum that connects Myer Briggs Type Indicate ( MBTI ) users with other users called Personality Cafe. Just go on google and search for the keywords Personality Cafe. I would love to chat with some of you and get to know about your personality a little bit more!

Just wanna help you guys discover yourself a little more. :)

Bonjour

je suis aussi INTP

et, épaté par la pertinence du modèle, j’ai créé un site web dédié :

https://www.16-types.com

Il contient une grosse partie dédiée aux INTP ! :o)

J’espère que vous me ferez part de vos commentaires…

Amitiés

Olivier

[...] However not so long ago I too was in the job market, interviewing, evaluating offers etc. And let me tell you it was fun. It is an intellectual game to me, a mental wrestling with the interviewer (yes I am an INTP). I had a very high success rate, despite limitations like being on H1B, and developed some simple strategies which contributed to it. [...]

> I dont think that they don’t make sense, i think it is just that a certain person hasn’t found the meaning to them yet.

Isn’t it the same thing?

I think that there are beliefs in many people that there are mixed descpriptions in a classified group of these types, meaning that you may not think that all these descriptions in your possible personality type may not apply to you. “13 things in science that do not make sense”. I dont think that they don’t make sense, i think it is just that a certain person hasn’t found the meaning to them yet. i dont know if this makes sense to you but I understand it.

@Feona I was mistaken. I came to understand that INTP population is actually much less then what I had assumed (based of equal distribution of 16 types).

And that explains such irrational beliefs in mass population.

Frankly I don’t subscribe to “Vox populi, vox Dei” theory.

You don’t really think INTP’s represent 1/16th of the population do you? How do you account for the huge percentage of humans who believe in pie in the sky religious gods of every sort?

[...] science that do not make sense Just read it. It is very enoyable specially for INTP types. Enough said. This entry was posted [...]

You can take the test online at https://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp

I am not aware of any place in Australia where you can get a hard-copy.

Do you know where I can get a copy of the Myer-Briggs personality tests? I am in Australia.
