Palin issues final Tweet on state account

FAIRBANKS, Alaska — Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has posted her final message on her official Alaska account on the social networking site Twitter.

Palin, who stepped down Sunday, has been posting messages on Twitter as a primary means of communication in recent weeks.

She wrote Sunday night she was sending her “last state twitter,” saying: “Thank you Alaska! I love you. God bless Alaska. God bless the U.S.A.”

Palin has not said what her future plans are, but the former Republican vice presidential candidate is widely considered a potential candidate for president in 2012.
