What’s up with Republican Java Geeks?
By Angsuman Chakraborty, Gaea News NetworkThursday, March 17, 2005
I very occassionally (once every six month or less) get comment from one (two?) blog reader to the effect that a certain post has nothing to do with Java.
They think it is a valid comment because I have syndicated my feed to JavaBlogs. They surely haven’t read the fine print of JavaBlogs which states that the blogs have to do mostly with Java. Check my topic map if you have any doubt.
Today I thought to look more into it. Who are these posters? I also saw such posts on others blogs too.
Most people (read over 99.99%) don’t mind me posting few non-java topics. And they often comment on the topics too. After all we are human and not all of our life is about Java. I also don’t mind reading others blog which discusses non-Java topics.
As stated in my privacy policy I do not individually track my viewers. However I can definitely look at the content of my post. What do they have in common which elicits such response?
All of the complained about posts (very low frequency like one in six months) are critical of Republican party members or office bearers like Ms. Condoleezza
Rice.
Personally I have nothing against Republican party. In fact I even have a card proclaiming me member of Republican National Committee and once had an invitation to attend a dinner in honor of George Bush.
However that doesn’t mean I will not talk about stupidity when I see it. And I see a lot of it nowadays.
Simple Thoughts is all about simple thoughts, ideas and common sense. And it is against stupidity in all forms including mine.
PS: I am not politically affiliated with any political party. However my statements above are correct. Do your math.

I have posted in detail about the issue with category feeds. Few days back I moved to using category feeds. Now its back to drawing board. |

If you’re using WordPress (looks like it, it just doesn’t say), just add the java specific feeds to javablogs, so people won’t have to see all the other stuff. (feed/rss2/?cat=3) |
