Yahoo Buys OMG.com : Oh My God

Yahoo’s  extravagance pouring dollars on weird domain names, like its own. For the latest Yahoo purchased OMG.com for a massive $80000. Yahoo’s newly acquired domain name OMG commonly stands for Oh My God used in shorthand and texting. This might have something to do with Yahoo’s popular celebrity gossip omg.yahoo.com.   

Well, Yahoo is not just a domain buyer but also a domain name seller. In June the company sold a domain name Contests.com for $380000 at a domain name auction in Washington, D.C. It seems the domain was acquired when Yahoo bought Broadcast.com, which owned the domain name. National A-1 Advertising bought the domain name at the auction.
