Great article … i’m looking at implementing a cart in my wordpress install however, you’re article didn’t really get me much further that I already was… I had reviewed a number of products from within the WP plugins section with no real satisfaction…

Are you able to provide recommendations??? You have listed 10 good products but what have you used? What do you prefer? What would you recommend? Every one of them has it’s good points… but they all “appear” to do what is required but I can’t pick one… I could spend the next 2-3 weeks testing (which I probably will) but recommendations or a summary would finsih this story off…

Is it just me, or is it strange the the Shopp Requirements plugin is listed aub the Shopp plugin itself is not. Where does the Shopp plugin fall on the list?

Lee the developer posts about PhPurchase, then right under he posts from his other business how the developer of PHPurchase (isn’t that you Lee?) was so great to work with. I think Lee would do better with the launch of his new product if he was just honest with people rather than trying to create these fake testimonials you find all over the web.

lets discuss about ecommerce usa.In the U.S, every city, county and state has their own separate sales tax with differing rates, limits and deadlines. This mean ecommerce merchants who sell their products or services in the U.S. could therefore be subject to all ofnnnnn these taxing districts. So how are online merchants able to collect their payments of sales tax with the varying sales taxes?

We are using PHPurchase for our WordPress ecommerce site. It was really easy to set up and the developers were very helpful tweaking my theme. You can find the plugin at PHPurchase.com

We have an ecommerce plugin for WordPress that is designed to be really easy to use especially if your site only sells a relatively small number of different products and you don’t want to be encumbered by the grid layouts and such that some plugins sort of force you into. Take a look at our plugin at .PHPurchase.com

Hi there Partho,

Great list you’ve compiled here.
I’ve been following WP Plugins for the past two day rather closely since we released our own (the Headup WP Plugin - https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/headup-bloggers-widget). I’m afraid it isn’t an ecommerce plugin per-se so that’s not why I’m commenting.

I thought I’d recommend people look at ecommerce video solution https://Treepodia.com as an enhancement for product listings. The company, run and owned by friends of mine has created an automated video platform that is able to cover an etailer’s entire catalog with short product videos in 24 hours.
The real coolness begins when you realize that https://Treepodia.com go beyond this and actually create a few versions of each product video and then do automated optimizing according to which video has the best sales conversions. The result? anywhere from 35% to 300% increases in CVR (I’m quoting Treepodia clients EyebuyDirect.com and Forzieri.com here).

Hope this is a useful tip.
: )
