Apple started to throw out apps from the store that sells sex. Apple began to send notices to porn apps developers that the new policy of the company is to take out the apps from Apple store because of their sexual content. Apple has a history of policy change very abruptly. But, this time the developers think that the new policy is amazing. The latest notice came not long ago. So the removal of apps is still going on full swing. For example, Go Girls removed 17 of its apps from the store.
Developers didn’t receive notices ahead of time. They are even not so sure what prompted apple to implement the new policy. But, this is definitely a financial setback for small developers. Reputed brand also didn’t get any respite. Although, Playboy apps are still up, but, Maxim had to remove their apps. Apple didn’t confirm or deny about the new policy change.
“Whenever we receive customer complaints about objectionable content we review them. If we find these apps contain inappropriate material we remove them and request the developer make any necessary changes in order to be distributed by Apple,” said the company.
