Apple iPad Best Buy Offer

In a bid to woo investors at Goldman Sachs Technology & Internet Conference in San Francisco, Apple COO Tim Cook announced the plan to offer iPad at retail outlets, besides the current outlets. The COO was all praises for the much-hyped iPad. According to Cook, the consumers will have a hard time buying a Netbook after experiencing iPad. Now consumers will be able to buy iPad from Apple retail stores apart from Apple directly and partners such as Best Buy. The move is a part of company’s plan for retail expansion.
However, Cook was not clear whether AT&T would be selling the device in its retail stores, given that it sells the iPhone. Clearly, AT&T non-inclusion in the retail plans could be explained from the fact that iPad lacks Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi combo models will be available 30 days after the initial release.
In January, Apple would be releasing two models of iPad during a special event. These iPad’s would be priced at $499 and $899, the iPad would come with disk space of up to 64GB. The iPad would accompany a microphone, accelerometers, bluetooth, ambient light sensors, and digital compass with assisted GPS technologies. iPad is scheduled for a release in late March.
