Apple launches iTunes 8.2 With iPhone 3.0 Support

With speculations in air that Apple would be releasing iPhone 3.0 out of beta at the Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco next week, things are getting intoxicating. As new additions to iPhone 3.0 are unfurling the excitement is doubling up. One of our recent efforts divulged the Video Chat feature to be introduced in the next-gen iPhone. Now, if you are ready to take the latest, Apple has released iTunes 8.2 with support for iPhone 3.0. Further, this clearly high signed that those awaiting the release of iPhone 3.0 will have to wait no longer.
Apple was gradually preparing its ground before launching iPhone 3.0. Initially Apple had announced the release of iPhone 3.0 in March. The iPhone software, currently in its beta version introduced several consumer oriented features that includes copy-paste, multimedia text capabilities and universal search function. Further, the upgraded iPhone will allow in-app purchasing, peer-to-peer multiplayer capabilities, and apps with third-party hardware. The additions will open up new vistas for more innovative and productive iPhone apps.
Those worried about iPhone security can now relax as iTunes 8.2 would include bug fixes and enhanced security. According to a statement by Apple, iPhone will now have improved bounds checking to prevent a stack buffer overflow that could result in application termination or arbitrary code execution,
Not just iPhone, Apple is also working on its new version of Mac OS X, Snow Leopard that’s highly popular. Apple would be using the WWDC to focus on iPhone. According to the sources, Apple CEO Steve Jobs would be missing out the opening keynote. The San Francisco Conference would be presided over by a team of executives headed by Apple’s senior VP of worldwide product, Philip Schiller.
