Australian PM Followed Porn on Twitter

An automated Twitter setting at Australian PM Kevin Rudd’s Twitter account leads him to follow on line porn sites. A bare-breasted woman in handcuffs, an online adult super store and a pornographic blog were among the shady sites followed by the prime minister. Although the prime minister’s team monitors the followers, this is a difficult task with more than 900,000 followers, Rudd’s spokesman said. However it usually requires that Twitter account holder views another person’s profile before following. There is also an option that allows this to happen automatically.

About 900,000 accounts follow the PM on Twitter, while he follows about 200,000. In addition to having his wife, Therese Rein, as a supporter, he has been accidentally following several seedy sites. Rudd has encountered the danger of social networking and has been following porn sites unintentionally.
