Diebold names Pavithran as development group head
NORTH CANTON, Ohio — Diebold Inc., a maker of ATMs and security systems, said Wednesday that Kumar Pavithran will lead its integrated services, global software development and global professional services teams.
Pavithran, 47, is Diebold’s vice president of integrated services and software development. His team will oversee the development, delivery and operations of all software worldwide, as well as be responsible for Agilis EmPower. Agilis is Diebold’s ATM software that also enables such services as mobile banking.
Diebold said it has consolidated its software development groups under one unit to be overseen by Pavithran to boost efficiency and collaboration.
Pavithran has been with Diebold since 2007 as vice president of software and services development. He also worked at Unisys Corp. and Lucent Technologies Inc.
Shares of Diebold, based in North Canton, Ohio, rose 32 cents to close at $31.74.
