General Dynamics unit gets $80M contract
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — A division of defense contract General Dynamics Corp. said Wednesday that it has received an $80 million contract from another company for work on a government weather satellite program.
General Dynamics Satcom Technologies said it will build six new 16-meter antennas and upgrade four 9-meter satellite communications antennas for Harris Corp.
The work is part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s GOES-R weather forecasting program.
Shares of General Dynamics fell 88 cents to $56.99.
