IBM to buy back-office software maker Lombardi
ARMONK, N.Y. — IBM Corp. said Wednesday it has agreed to buy Lombardi Software Inc., a company that makes software for automating back-office functions such as supply chain management and human resources. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Lombardi, based in Austin, Texas, “fills out our company’s portfolio in this key area,” IBM said in a statement.
IBM shares were up 21 cents to $128.70 in premarket trading.

I agree with you Rick but i think salaries and benefits will not be cut. The growth of IBM is very good and employees are very happy with IBM. May be the timing will be increase but rare chances of it. |

Congratulations to the staff at Lombardi. Now, prepare for the transition. Your benefits and salaries will be cut to align with other IBM employees, your time spent reporting to management will increase, and eventually your jobs will be moved to India. Update your resume. Prepare for that career change you have long considered. |
