JDA Software prices $275M debt offering, proceeds to pay for i2 acquisition

JDA Software prices institutional debt offering
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — JDA Software Group Inc., which makes inventory management software for retailers, said Monday it has priced a debt offering to qualified institutional buyers.
The $275 million in 8 percent senior notes due 2014 were priced at 98.988 percent of the principal amount. The closing is expected on Dec. 10.
JDA plans to use the proceeds to help pay for the acquisition of i2 Technologies Inc., along with fees and other transaction costs. JDA agreed in November to buy rival i2 for about $434 million.
JDA Software shares rose 5 cents to $24.62. Shares of i2 fell 1 cent to $18.73.
