Keynote names new finance chief
SAN MATEO, Calif. — Keynote Systems Inc. named an executive from GCA Savvian Advisors, an investment bank, as the company’s next chief financial office on Wednesday.
Curtis H. Smith, who is 45 and headed GCA’s software division, will replace Andrew Hamer, who resigned Tuesday.
Keynote, a provider of software and equipment for measuring the quality of Internet and mobile signals, said Hamer is leaving to go to a privately held company called On24 Inc., which makes Webcasting technology.
Keynote also promoted Corporate Controller David Peterson, 49, to the role of chief accounting officer.
Company shares rose 27 cents, or 2.8 percent, to $10.05 in afternoon trading.
