Revenge of The Vole (aka Microsoft)

I know “The Vole” is so The Inquirerish. However I couldn’t resist the intended pun. Google claims in its countersuit filing that Bill Gates warned Kai Fu-Lee that Steve Balmer, CEO Microsoft, is going to sue him and Google to make an example case out of it.

Obviously they think this will prevent other Microsoftees from leaving en masse for Google. Well that didn’t stop Mr. Lee.

Accordig to the report Bill gates said -
“Steve (Ballmer) is definitely going to sue you and Google over this. He has been looking for something like this, someone at a VP level to go to Google. We need to do this to stop Google.”

I wonder if they thought about sharing more of their wealth with their employees in order to retain them rather than suing them after they leave.

Suing ex-employees goes a long way in lowering the morales of current employees.
