lux_touch  Reports from Game Developers Conference, held this week, revealed that Games on Mobile phones are no longer separate market segment any more. It is becoming a centerpiece in game industry day by day. Although, video games are popular in men, social games are increasingly getting popularity among women. After going through different technology blog, I gather some useful information about 5 top games for mobile phones.

  • Jelly Cars(Free): This is a cartoonish looking game for iPhone based on soft-body physics. Jelly Car is a driving based game where you can easily maneuver your car through different obstacles. You do this by squeezing into and out of tight spaces and you can also change the size of your vehicle on the way. The goal is to reach the end of each level.  The game comes  with a five song playlist and 12 fun-filled levels, but if you want – you can also listen to any song from your iPhone’s library.
  • Tap Defense ( Free): Defend the Gates of Heaven from the enemies of Hell with an amazing fun mobile TOWER DEFENSE game on your iPhone or iPod Touch. TapJoy is brought you TapDefense — a new TOWER DEFENSE strategy game that you can take you with you all day long. The feature includes 42 levels, 6 Tower types and 7 Enemy types.
  • iShoot ($3): iShoot features thirty different weapons that includes shells, missiles, cluster bombs, and nuclear weapons which blast huge holes in the destructible photorealistic landscapes. Bury your opponents under a Portable Mountain only to watch them escape using the Excavator. Ver 2 added nice feature to edit game’s rules, such as how much health the tanks have, how much money you receive per round, and which landscapes are enabled.
  • Topple (Free): This is an imaginative game in which you tap the screen to drop blocks from the top of the screen to the bottom. The goal is to create a tower of a certain height within a particular length of time. But be careful. The blogs become more irregularly shaped as the game levels progress.
  • Lux Touch (Delux Ver. $8): Lux is a game of strategy, risk, and world conquest. The game is about taking over territory and building your armies in a short span of time. In each turn, you can attack neighboring territories, place more armies on the map and shuffle their positions around.
