NEW YORK (GaeaTimes.com) — The Bing maps service from Microsoft has been growing better ever since it has been launched. Today, Microsoft launched another unique feature into its location based service. The new feature called the “Bing Maps Transit Directions” has been launched and data is available now for 11 selected cities.
The Cities are: Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New Jersey, New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington DC, and Vancouver. Microsoft stated that the transit provides information that comes alongside each route option. Users can compare their routes easily and they can select the best or shortest route. This feature changes their existing knowledge of transit and makes newer options available to them.
Options for Bus, Railway, Subway, light rail and local rail are also available on the New Bing Transit Maps. Bing has also stated that interested persons may contact Bing for applying for the post of providers for each city.
