KOCHI - The Kochi Infopark-based Coresys Infotech has launched a unique software package for educational campuses with a view to making “Paperless Campuses” a reality in Kerala.
The product branded as “Campas ePlatform” was formally launched by Kerala PWD Minister. P J Joseph at Njarakal on Monday.
The main advantage of the system is that it ensures minimum administrative cost and maximum efficiency by eliminating clerical tasks.
Another major advantage is that operating the Campas ePlatform is as easy as accessing a web based e mail, Dr. E S Rajendran, Managing Director said, adding the company is targeting new generation schools and colleges in Kerala.
“Kerala’s booming educational sector which is reeling under staggering administrative costs coupled with poor efficiency, the company’s Campas ePlatform will be a blessing,” he said.
Integrated SMS/ Email alerts and specially designed modules for student and staff profile management, human resources and administrative areas covering the whole aspects like library, inventory, finance, and payroll management are some of the highlights of the system. The system is offered on a SaaS (software as a service) model with a small annual subscription fee based on number of students.
Moving to Campas ePlatform reduces the institutions’ printing costs by more than 80 per cent.
Campas is a web based solution functional in any web browser and can access anywhere, anytime in any computer with broadband connection, said Dr. Rajendran adding that Coresys has successfully implemented the Campas ePlatform at multiple institutions worldwide like Penang International Dental College, Malaysia, RN Oxford Matriculation School, Namakkal, and Satyam College of Engineering and Technology, Nagercoil.
Other successful products of the ISO 9001:2008 certified company include eClinician which is an advanced Clinical decision support system being used by over 3000 clients across the globe. Also popular is the company’s Cotex Hospital Management System which has a client base in India as well as overseas markets. By Juhan Samuel (ANI)
