Now that pre-ordered Apple iPad, spending around $499 to $829, you need to think big. Most of the features offered in iPad might seem domestic, typically build for the home user.  All you need to do is to think beyond the typical usage of music playing, e-book reading, movie watching and Web surfing. iPad can be a real business tool. The portability and flexibility with iPad is incomparable as compared to any other business tablet. Still you might be disheartened with Apple’s website that lists no such business functionality for iPad. The iWork productivity apps are handy presentation tools, but not the typical business tool. The lack of multi-tasking is yet another drawback. We got across some cool apps that can overcome the multi-tasking problem to transform your domestic tablet into a full blown business tool.

Salesforce Mobile

With this mobile app you can access the Sales Cloud on-the-go. Business professionals can use the Salesforce Mobile app on iPad to respond to the leads, access log calls, search critical customer data, and view dashboard information.

Meebo

For instant business communication you would require a messenger service. The reason to choose Meebo is that it covers all the major messaging networks. Moreover, Meebo helps to outsmart the lack of multi-tasking with Push notification that works even when the app is closed. It reconnects automatically to ensure you don’t lose an important message.

Freshbooks

Business professional looking to track and log their time for billing purposes would prefer the Freshbooks app in their iPad. It is especially handy when it comes to handling multiple clients. This app is ideal for iPad as it overcomes the multitasking problems. Even while your working on your iPad Freshbook task timer continues to run in the background. Further, it works even when your web is disconnected. The app keeps on queuing the entries until the connection is available.

The UPS Mobile App should also be included - it can be used on the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad - all of which my family and business uses. The App uses true GPS which can give you directions to your nearest UPS Store…..
