Acacia Research says it settled patent dispute

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. — Acacia Research Corp., a company that buys and licenses patents, said Wednesday it has entered a settlement with Interbond Corp. of America over a patent that applies to credit card fraud protection technology.

This resolves a dispute that was pending before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the company said.

Terms were not disclosed.
