Axcelis Technologies CFO Bassett to retire
BEVERLY, Mass. — Axcelis Technologies Inc. said Thursday that Chief Financial Officer Stephen Bassett plans to retire on March 31, 2011.
The semiconductor services provider has begun the search process for a successor.
Bassett, 62, joined Beverly, Mass.-based Axcelis in 2003. The company said he has been instrumental in significantly reducing expenses and rebuilding its balance sheet.
Shares fell 5 cents to $1.89 in morning trading.
